La Fiorita: The Flowering of Castelluccio di Norcia 2016

Castelluccio di Norcia is a small town located in the Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini (Mount Sibillini National Park),
at an altitude of 1452 meters and a few kilometers (about 28) from Norcia (PG).
The “monotony” is broken between late May and early July of each year through the spectacle of nature (the case was never more appropriate for such an idiomatic expression, ed) called “The Fiorita” (The Flowering) of Castelluccio di Norcia.
When the flowers bloom the plateau bursting with colors, with shades ranging from yellow ocher to red, from violet to white. For example, you can enjoy lentils (cultivated and proper to Castelluccio), gentianella, poppies, narcissuses, violets, asphodels, Eugeniae violet, clovers, oxalis and many more. And if you decide to take a walk in this “natural mosaic”, maybe you will be lucky and you will watch some gazelles and roe deers
